I travel outside these areas should a survey be requested. Mileage will be charged on all surveys and is included in your fee.
Fees
I charge for my surveys and reports, I am a surveyor and that is all I do. Furthermore this means that you get independent advice. My fees are bespoke to each client and fully inclusive. The fee includes the survey, diagnosis of problems found remedial advice estimated costs and a written report unless otherwise stated.
As of the 5th September 2023 my survey fee for a Level 2 survey start at £395.00. Technical Reports or Invasive Surveys start from £550.00. Please see TYPES & SCOPE OF SURVEY page for details on the Levels of Surveys I offer.
I have no commercial interest in contractual works at your property. My objective is to inspect, diagnose and provide an assessment of problems reported by others or, to inspect for pre-sale purposes to determine if any problems exist.

Each survey will be quoted for specifically to your requirements, these fees will vary and are just an average guideline.
Express Report Service Fee: following your survey inspection, your report can be “Expressed” this will mean that you receive your report within 24hrs of your survey or payment if made after your survey. The fees for an express survey is £100-£150 and this is in addition to your chosen survey fee. This service is dependent on the type of property, size, age and the technically of the report and is not available on basements, or wall tie inspections. I reserve the right to decline this service dependant on my current workload. This service must be booked and agreed with myself at the time of booking and is not available once the survey is confirmed and paid for as an additional item.
Please note that all fees must be paid prior to this survey and must be cleared funds before reports are issued. Payment can be made by online bank transfer. All the above fees with exception of the hourly rate include a full report service. All fees are dependent on access arrangements, parking, travelling time and property size and extent of instruction.
Customer Services
Survey process:
When we have completed your enquiry and you have made a booking, your confirmation will be sent out with your invoice, this is due prior to the day of survey. The survey will be carried out and the report will be processed. There may be little communication during this period; we will only contact you during this period if there are issues with payment or if previously agreed. We cannot always respond to multiple calls and emails during this time. Please be assured that all the reports are issued in strict rotation and we are working as quickly as possible. We do not issue any reports prior to payment.
Refund Policy:
Once the site visit (survey) has been completed no full refunds will be issued, partial refunds are solely at our discretion and subject to the type and scope of survey provided. No refund will be offered once the survey report or written correspondence has been issued.
Cancellation Policy:
The client has the right to cancel this contract by notifying the office at least 24hours prior to the survey, after which a fee will be chargeable.
