I am an experienced independent Building Surveyor who covers South East England. I am a specialist in all aspects of damp, structural waterproofing, conversions, condensation, woodworm and fungal decay.

“Damp and Timber Tech was established to provide independent impartial professional examination and the inspection of properties. Furthermore providing professional survey services working solely on behalf of my client and other professionals to ensure that the most effective solution can be made.”

I have worked in all levels of the damp proofing and timber preservation industry. Firstly working as a damp proofing technician, and plasterers “mate” learning how dampness is caused and more importantly how it can be controlled and cured.

Following this my career progressed to an apprentice Carpenter, where I carried out timber replacements and repairs, which included internal joinery, timber decay replacements and structural beam replacements. Finally completing the five year apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery. In addition this gave me the foundation knowledge and experience in building construction, and their inherent defects. Furthermore I gained experiencing working in period properties, and conservation areas through to new constructions.

After which in 1994, I formed a successful local preservation company with a business partner. Before finally moving on to become a fully Independent Surveyor in 2008.
